During your tour you will drive past ancient Limeston Churches- some are over 100 years old and were built by the London Missionary Society.
The departure of the flotilla of canoes from Avana passage on their epic voyage to New Zealand at the turn of the 15th Century marked the end of Polynesian Migrations.
This part of the tour always offers a more intimate look at the island. You will visit the remote inland plantations where locals still use an agricultural system that dates back to pre missionary times
You wil also visit Highland Paradise Cultural Centre located on the heights of Maunga Roa in Arorangi.
Light Refreshments of local tropical fruits will be served during the tour.
