Large areas of the lagoon of Rarotonga have been placed under a traditional Raui Conservation System where a complete ban on fishing is enforced by the traditional leaders of the community. This has resulted in the fantastic frowth of sea life in these areas. As you cruise across Muri Lagoon towards the Titikaveka coastline, you will see the result of this effort.
A special area has been put aside for snorkelling during the cruise. The water is approximately 15 feet deep with rows of tall coral heads surrounding the snorkelling spot. Here you can swim amongst schools of colourful butterfly fish and also hand feed them.
One of the highlights of the day is the fresh fish BBQ lunch on the island Koromiri. Your multi-talented crew will prepare and serve what has to be one of the best fish BBQ's on the island. It is served with a selection of salads on a white sandy beach and complimented with impromptu entertainment from the crew. This is truly a great way to spend the day and is recommended for the entire family.
